Don't worry, all is well with Katy Perry and hubby, Russell Brand. But the same can't be said for her relationship with another important man in her life -- her producer, Dr. Luke. According to the
New York Post, Perry is reportedly on the outs with the man behind some of her biggest hits, including 'I Kissed a Girl,' 'Hot N Cold' and 'Teenage Dream.'
It sounded like a clash of the egos according to a source for the Post, who said, "She got tired of his records, the same familiar sound, but mostly his attitude. Katy's a star now, and she's not going to be told what to do."
There were whispers that the duo were butting heads when any mention of Perry became noticeably absent from his Twitter feed in December, a little over a month before the Feb. 13 Grammys where Perry was nominated for four awards, including Album of the Year. Luke was also nominated for Producer of the Year.
Now there are concerns that Perry won't be able to maintain her track record of chart-topping success without the super-producer, who has been with her since the beginning and has production credits with a wide range of artists from Miley Cyrus to Mos Def in his musical arsenal.
But a rep for Dr. Luke shot down the rumored rift, calling it "ridiculous" and saying their professional relationship was very much intact: "They just put the finishing touches on Katy's newest single, which they created together, in February."
