Enrique Iglesias pulled out of Britney Spears' forthcoming tour, and now rumor has it that Nicki Minaj may step in to fill the Latin singer's spot.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, although Minaj is not confirmed for the tour, she is being courted by tour execs. But Spears' gig would mean back to back tours for the 'Pink Friday' rapper. While Spears' tour doesn't kick off until June 17 in Sacremento, Calif., Minaj is currently on tour with Lil Wayne for his 'I Am Still Music' trek.
We're just hoping that Minaj's deal goes through and that negotiations don't go awry, a la Iglesias, who, according to THR, pulled out of the tour because he felt like he was opening for Spears rather than sharing the headlining title.
Regardless of who Spears brings along on tour, she's set to be the hottest ticket in town. Her latest album, 'Femme Fatale,' debuted at No. 1 on the charts, selling more than 276,000 copies in its first week alone.
Previous to Minaj's possible involvement, Spears was campaigning to share the stage with Usher -- but their competing tour producers made it difficult for the pair to make their possible collaboration a reality.
