Don't be fooled by the flowing blonde hair and neon face paint, kids: that is not Ke$ha on the cover of Nicki Minaj's "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded" album. The Young Money rapper posted the artwork to the sophomore album, due April 3, to her Twitter on Thursday afternoon (March 1).
Unlike her "Pink Friday" album cover, which showed the rapper decked out in the title color and rocking some fierce heels, the "Roman Reloaded" art is a close-up of Minaj striking a pose in front of a graffitied white wall. The blonde wig resembles the luscious set of locks she sported on the single art for "Starships," the latest single from the forthcoming album.
Minaj spent February hopping between marquee performance platforms, from the Super Bowl halftime show with Madonna to the Grammy Awards stage to the NBA All-Star Game in Orlando. The rapper has already unveiled songs like "Roman Holiday," "Roman Reloaded," "Starships" and "Stupid Hoe" off the album, but Cash Money co-CEO Bryan "Birdman" Williams tells Billboard.com that the full album will blow quite a few minds when it arrives next month.
"Words don't describe how talented she is," says Birdman. "This album she has is incredible -- she's not just rapping, she's doing it all. She's versatile, and I think people are gonna be so impressed by the growth and what her music has become. I'm excited, and I can't wait to see the outcome of it."
