Giving some insight into the thrilling plotline, Universal Studios has released a featurette about the upcoming sci-fi flick “Battleship.”
In the clip, members of the cast explain how aliens find out about the existence of Earth, and inevitably send scouts to see if the planet is a good fit.
They explain the concept of “Goldilocks Planets,” or a planet that is just close enough to a star to allow life to flourish, as well as the transmission of communication designed to identify intelligent life in the universe.
“Battleship” is set to hit theaters on May 18th and stars Alexander Skarsgard, Rihanna, Brooklyn Decker, and Liam Neeson.
