In fact, a lovelorn Rihanna has taken to sexting the supposedly aloof actor!
Insiders say the pop star, 24, has been sending Ashton, 34, sexy messages as well as pictures of herself while she's been touring in London and Japan.
"She's into him, for sure," one insider dishes to OK!magazine. "She bought a $700 lingerie set from Lascivious in London and has sent him lots of close-ups of her cleavage, stomach and his favorite part — her derriere!"
Some friends insist that it's the thrill of the chase that's fueling Rihanna's fiery flirts.
"She knows she's not the only girl Ashton's been seeing and she finds that to be a challenge," one friend says.
In fact, "The more he resists her advances, the more determined she is to conquer him. She loves a challenge, because now they are so rare. She has men falling at her feet and proposing marriage all the time, so the fact that Ashton can take her or leave her is driving her crazy! So she's turning on the sexy and hoping he'll be putty in her hands!"
