We'd like to say that the pre-wedding glow looks good on LeAnn Rimes, but we're not sure it does. The country crooner stepped out looking skinnier than ever, and RadarOnline reports that her
dramatic weight loss may be due to "pre-wedding stress."
Compared with images of Rimes from just a few months ago, her bony frame is a far cry from her once athletically toned bod.
But nutritionist Dr. Farid Zarif told Radar, "Just as a lot of people have a propensity to gain weight, others have the same ability to lose it, too."
Rimes isn't taking recent scrutiny regarding her weight lying down. In response to the criticism, she tweeted, "I don't care about the dumb articles. I know how healthy I am. Maybe those people should start taking care of themselves...inside and out," before joking that she should release a nude photo of herself so others could see that she is not as skinny as the photos depict.
Although we've heard of retouching and bad angles, these photos don't seem to lie.
So is it a case of pre-wedding jitters or pressure to comply with Hollywood's stick-thin standards? Zarif thinks it may be both.
"A lot of women try to lose weight to look good in their wedding dress, and somebody like LeAnn Rimes is under 'invisible pressure' to look a certain way for her fans also," he said.
Although Rimes and fiance Eddie Cibrian haven't announced their wedding date, if she is shedding for the wedding, we hope the nuptials are in the near future, before this skinny starlet disappears.
Just months ago Rimes stripped down to an itsy-bitsy bikini for Shape, telling the magazine that she maintains her toned body by throwing a mean right hook.
"Going to the gym and punching out some of my aggression on a pair of mitts has been a lifesaver," she told the magazine. "Sometimes I felt so depressed I didn't want to get out of bed, so just getting to the gym -- even for a few minutes -- was a big accomplishment."
From the looks of Rimes, she's been dealing with the some major aggression lately.
