Zac Efron is not trying to date Demi Moore, as you might have heard, but he is wishing her well.
The 24-year-old actor is good friends with Moore's eldest daughter Rumer Willis, 23, who was at
her mother's side and can be heard on the 911 call the night that Moore, 49, was rushed to hospital.
Efron told E! News he had spoken to Willis recently and said, "Yeah, she's doing okay. She's doing fine. It's tough, but I think she's alright."
Willis was spotted visiting her mother in hospital after Moore was admitted more than two weeks ago, and then spotted at a SAG awards after-party less than a week after the incident.
Efron, who has been busy promoting his new animated feature, "The Lorax," also told "Extra": "Me and Rumer have been friends for a long time. I know Demi is going through some personal stuff right now. I just wish her well. I hope she's doing okay."
Moore was rumored to have checked into a rehab program at Cirque Lodge to be treated for anorexia and substance abuse. However, multiple sources tell TMZ that Moore is not at the Utah treatment center, which previously treated Mary-Kate Olsen, Lindsay Lohan and Eva Mendes.
