The singer will release 'Young' as her debut single on May 6 through Island Records and All Around The World.
The track was produced by duo STL, which consists of Tulisa's N-Dubz bandmate and former boyfriend Fazer and Pete Ibsen.
'Young' deals with mistakes made during youth, with lyrics including: "I make mistakes that I learn from, 'cause I'm young."
The accompanying music video was shot in Miami last month and sees the X Factor judge performing the track among graffiti and abandoned cars.
Other scenes see Tulisa and her friends causing mischief in an expensive hotel and painting 'The Female Boss' on to a piece of art at an exhibition.
'Young' will serve as the trailer cut from Tulisa's debut album, which is due out later this year.
The star has worked in the UK and US on the new material with producers including The-Dream (Rihanna, Mariah Carey), Toby Gad (Beyoncé), Rico Love (Lil Wayne, Usher) and songwriter Dianne Warren.
Tulisa will play one of her first solo festival sets at this year's Wireless in London's Hyde Park on July 7.
