First ‘Desperate Housewives’ is over, and now Eduardo Cruz? And they made such a good-looking pair.
Eva Longoria is focusing on “work” in the wake of a split from Penelope Cruz’s brother, Eduardo Cruz.
An insider told Us Weekly magazine: “It was mutual decision. They are staying friends. She’s focusing on work and the end of ‘Desperate Housewives’.”
The two were first introduced at a party by Penelope, and they began stepping out together as a couple in February 2011. Longoria divorced NBA player, Tony Parker, in 2010 after three years of marriage. Rumors surfaced that he had cheated on her.
When Eva met Eduardo, she said she felt “lucky” to have moved on so quickly, and even hinted at marriage.
"The truth is, I should be angry, resentful and disillusioned about relationships. But I'm not. I was very lucky to find Edu,” Eva said. “There's a reason I fell in love and got married. I believed in it. Love did not work with that person. But it can work with another."
Hollyscoop talked to the actress last month, and she told us “every day I strive to be happy. So yeah, I think every day is a victory!”
Apparently, the split took place within the last week, and the source says that Eduardo has since packed his bags and returned to his hometown in Madrid, Spain.
Eduardo was Eva’s first relationship after divorcing Tony Parker. Eva says dating isn’t necessarily her strong point. "I'm not good with dating…so this is going to be, you know, scary.”
