The vintage Christian Dior dress that Natalie Portman wore to last month's Academy Awards has sold for $50,000 (£31,800).
The Oscar-winning actress, who wore the red polka dot gown to present the Best Actor gong to Jean Dujardin, apparently borrowed the dress from couture dealer Rare Vintage.
Apparently, an unknown British couture collector in London bought the dress when Rare Vintage sold it on 1stdibs.com, post-Oscars night.
