Chris Brown is confirmed to have recently failed a drug test.
The "Kiss Kiss" hitmaker attended a probation progress hearing during which a judge noted that the R&B singer tested positive for marijuana in a June 18th urinalysis.
In Brown’s defense, he explained to his probation officer that he had smoked in California (where he has a medical marijuana card), but was given the test in Virginia, where marijuana is illegal under any circumstances.
Getting a break, Judge Patricia Schnegg concluded that she would not revoke Brown’s probation and said that she had never initially ordered the singer to undergo mandatory drug testing.
Though Judge Schnegg let Chris off the hook this time, she did give him a verbal warning, saying, “This is my advice to you… You are not an average person who can sit in their living room and do what you wanna do without anybody watching what you do. You are not only in the public eye, but you are on probation,” adding, “I’m going to caution you that you should be very mindful.”
Brown was also ordered to meet up with his probation officer within 72 hours to discuss a difference in community service hours, as prosecutors are claiming that the 23-year-old has 121 hours left to complete, but his attorney Mark Geragos believes his star client is closer to completion than what's being noted.
